Hi! I’m Ian, the creator of Card Slinger—let me share our story!

Card Slinger started with a simple (and frustrating) question: “How the #$%@ am I going to scan all these cards!?” Fueled by a desire to make scanning cards as effortless as possible, and a touch of ingenuity, the Card Slinger 1.0 was born on October 8, 2024!

The first version of Card Slinger was shared with the Reddit MTG community, and it was an instant hit! As the first device of its kind, it sparked curiosity and a flood of creative ideas. People shared suggestions for mods, improvements, and—most excitingly—requests to buy one. To meet the growing demand, I connected with a fantastic printing partner through Reddit, making it possible to launch our very first pre-order!

Since then, Card Slinger has grown from a small pre-order project into a full-fledged production run. Each unit is lovingly printed in California and shipped to card enthusiasts around the globe. What started as a way to solve a personal problem has evolved into a mission to help anyone who wants to scan their cards quickly and easily. Whether you download our files or order one of our premium products, we’re committed to delivering the best quality possible.

And this is just the beginning! We’re already working on exciting upgrades and new products to make collecting and gaming even more fun and convenient.
