Hi! I'm Ian, the creator of Card Slinger — let me share our story.
Origin
Card Slinger started with a simple (and frustrating) question: "How the #$%@ am I going to scan all these cards!?" Fueled by a desire to make scanning cards as effortless as possible, and a touch of ingenuity, the Card Slinger 1.0 was born on October 8, 2024.
Community
The first version of Card Slinger was shared with the Reddit MTG community, and it was an instant hit. As the first device of its kind, it sparked curiosity and a flood of creative ideas. People shared suggestions for mods, improvements, and — most excitingly — requests to buy one. To meet the growing demand, I connected with a fantastic printing partner through Reddit, making it possible to launch our very first pre-order. Since then, Card Slinger has grown from a small pre-order project into a full-fledged production run.
